New Feature: Texthog and Twitter are pals. Posting transactions via Twitter
In the past month, we’ve received tons of feedback regarding integration with other services. Of the most requested (more like demanded) features has been the ability for users to post transactions to their Texthog account via Twitter. Today we made the final tweaks, and are releasing this one into the wild. Now expense tracking with Texthog IS as fun as using Twitter! We hope you enjoy it.
Direct Messages
We’ve opted to use Direct Messages to protect the privacy and security of our users. All transactions that are posted as DM’s are deleted once they are logged into the texthog database.
Solves mobile issues
While evaluating the pros and cons of posting transactions via SMS/Email/Other Services, and looking closer at issues with some mobile carriers, we’ve determined that componding on Twitter’s mobile preferences and settings, it is a great bridge for many of our users.
Mobile and desktop support
This could be one of the best parts of Twitter support. There’s such a plethora of twitter apps you can use cross platform, mobile and desktop. Which apps do you use?
If you have any ideas that you think would make Texthog even better, feel free to shoot an email to darren[at]texthog[dot]com
